Leetonia -Thomas A. “Tom” Rudebock, 84, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Otterbein Senior Care in Pemberville, Ohio.

Tom was born at the family home in Leetonia on September 17, 1941, a son of the late Arthur A. and Eunice (Jones) Rudebock and had lived his entire life in the area.

A 1959 graduate of Leetonia High School, he initially owned and operated along with his father AR-EU-TO BE dairy farm until his father retired. He transitioned careers to selling advertising for the Salem News and then as a loan officer and ultimately a branch manager for Production Credit Association, Firestone Bank, Citizens Banking Company, Sky Bank, and Huntington Bank.

He served his community in multiple ways. He was a member of Consistory while attending St. Jacob’s United Church of Christ. He later attended First United Methodist Church in Lisbon, Ohio. He served over a decade on the Leetonia Exempted Village School Board and for over two decades on the Columbiana County Fair Board.

He experienced his greatest joy in calling square dances and sharing fellowship with other square dancers, a hobby he pursued for over five decades. He called for local groups, clubs, organizations, and demonstrations. He also called at state and national conventions throughout the country. He shared his knowledge of square dancing with youth as he advised two separate 4-H groups leading them to place at state competitions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur A. and Eunice (Jones) Rudebock and by his infant daughter, Cindy Lou Rudebock.

He is survived and fondly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Beverly Sue (Elwonger) Rudebock; sons, David (Cathryn) Rudebock of Perrysburg, Ohio and Mark Rudebock of Leetonia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Cheyann, Kaitlin, Jacob, Jessica, Madison, Aliva; sister, Betty (Kenneth) Boyd of Leetonia; and several nieces, nephew, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes there will be no viewing, however a memorial service will be held at the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, 114 East Washington Street, Lisbon, Ohio at 11:00am, Saturday, June 27, 2026.  A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
